Make getting around Mons en Lumières easier!

Welcome to Mons en Lumières, the event that lights up the historic heart of Mons!

A security perimeter will be in place in the city centre, limiting access by car to ensure a magical and safe experience. Don’t panic! Find out all the practical solutions for getting to the event easily, whether by train, bus, car or carpool.

An enhanced TEC bus service

During the festival, several TEC bus routes will offer additional evening services to enable visitors to easily reach Mons and neighbouring towns.

Shuttle buses – Route 50 & Grand Large park-and-ride facility

Route 50 provides shuttle buses between Mons station and the Grand Large park-and-ride facility:

Thursday 22 January

Last departure for the open sea: 8:32 p.m.

  • Enhanced service between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
  • Buses every 10 minutes
  • Last departure to Grand Large: 10:30 p.m.
  • Enhanced service between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

  • Last departure to Grand Large: 10:30 p.m.

  • Please note: no shuttle service on Sunday, 25 January

TEC lines to and from Mons station

Line 6 | Mons SNCB > Flénu (old station)
  • Thursday: normal timetable (see letec.be)
  • Friday: additional departures at 8:40 p.m., 9:40 p.m. and 10:40 p.m.
  • Saturday: additional departures at 8 p.m., 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.
  • No additional departures on Sunday
  • No extra buses on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

  • Last bus on Friday at 10:25 pm.

  • Extra buses on Saturday with a last bus at 10:35 pm.

  • No extra services on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

  • Last bus on Friday at 10:03 pm.

  • Extra services on Saturday with a last departure at 10:18 pm.

  • No extra buses on Thursday and Sunday

  • Extra buses on Friday and Saturday

  • Last bus at 10:40 p.m.

  • No extra buses during the festival

  • Last buses:

    • Line 821: 10:20 p.m. (Friday and Saturday)

Park-and-ride facilities: a convenient alternative

As traffic is restricted in the city centre, visitors are encouraged to use park-and-ride facilities and to carpool.

20 minutes on foot or 7 minutes by bicycle from the Grand-Place

  • Connected to the station by TEC shuttle buses – line 50
  • Last shuttle bus departures from the station:
    • Thursday: 8:32 p.m.
    • Friday and Saturday: 10:30 p.m.
    • No shuttle buses on Sundays

La SNCB renforce également son offre à l’occasion de Mons en Lumières, avec 19 trains supplémentaires et près de 4.000 places assises en plus sur l’ensemble du festival.
