FLUX par MagicStreet
Flux is a luminous art installation that celebrates the interconnection between humanity, nature, and the cosmos by transforming Square Saint Germain. At its heart is a powerful laser positioned at the top of the Mons Belfry, projecting beams of light towards the central fountain in the garden. This interaction between the laser and the fountain creates a visual symphony symbolizing the link between the sky and the earth.
The garden is illuminated by a series of spotlights that bathe the surrounding vegetation in a soft and mysterious glow, while optical fibers integrated around the fountain light up in response to the laser beams, generating organic light patterns. This installation transforms the space into a sensory and contemplative experience, guided by an original soundtrack that transports viewers between wonder and reflection.
Technically, the installation utilizes modern and energy-efficient equipment, such as moving heads, sound systems, LED panel projectors, and optical fibers. The laser is controlled via a long-range WiFi antenna, with a transmitter placed near the control area in the garden and a receiver located at the top of the Belfry. All lighting and sound devices are strategically positioned to maximize the immersive effect while preserving the integrity of the location.
The ecological approach of Flux is enhanced by the use of reusable materials and the involvement of local artists and providers, thus minimizing the carbon footprint associated with transportation and installation. The artwork invites the public to contemplate the beauty of light and reflect on the harmony between humanity and its environment.
