UMons and MUMONS Shine at Mons en Lumières 2025

For the 2025 edition of Mons en Lumières, UMons and MUMONS are joining forces to offer a unique experience under the theme “Between Earth and Sky.” This partnership promises to elevate Place du Parc while offering enriching activities for everyone.

A Dazzling Show at Place du Parc

Tadashi Kawamata’s famous tree huts will adorn the trees at Place du Parc. This setting will be enhanced by a spectacular light show designed by visual artist Mike Latona. Inspired by scientific insights shared by MUMONS, this installation invites visitors to dream and reflect on our connection with nature.

Activities to Explore and Inspire

MUMONS enriches the Mons en Lumières program with both free and paid activities:

• Scientific Talk Show (29/01): An engaging evening where physicists and biologists from UMons share their perspectives on the theme.
• Guided Tours “Exploring the Invisible” (03/02): Discover the temporary exhibition alongside researchers and a guest artist.
• Extended Museum Hours (30/01-02/02 and 06/02-09/02): Enjoy free access to the museum from 10 AM to 7 PM.
• Classic Guided Tours (weekends): Explore the museum and its history.
• Exclusive Tour: “Behind the Monastery” (09/02): A journey into the former Visitandine Monastery.
