“Horizons” is an immersive installation that surrounds Place Léopold with an LED screen. The horizontal screen, 80 meters wide and 1 meter high, emits light as an abstraction of natural phenomena, as if distilling their essence, giving the aesthetic experience its intensity. The screen radiates and spreads light to the surroundings, including the train station building, which becomes part of the installation and is enhanced by these light projections. The shades of colors, accompanied by musical tones and their fluctuations, movements, and transformations, captivate attention and spark the imagination.

Horizons integrates seamlessly into the space by following the shape of the square, recalling the lines drawn on the ground, and engaging in a dialogue with the architecture of the station without directly altering the building itself. The screen evokes 19th-century panoramas—circular paintings in trompe-l’œil that immersed viewers in a scene of the time. Like the image, the sound is circular, thanks to the multi-track sound system.

The visual composition itself echoes the impressionist approach, capturing specific atmospheres inspired by the spectacle of nature, emphasizing colors and sounds, nuances and contrasts, movements, and pauses.

The installation envelops and shapes the site, creating a vast space for visitors to wander and reflect.
